A Note on Henry Kissinger

I would like to point out a few thoughts about this last one: Henry Kissinger!!!

I always admired him very much for a very simple reason: He was the Master of Negotiations.

When there is the need of a negotiation between two Nations, they always point out conditions in order to come together.

And, regularly this happens:

  • "We will be there if they will do…….blah, blah……"
  • "We will be there if they will say…..blah, blah……."
  • "We will be there if……….whatever…………"

And, of course, it will never happen!!!

It will never happen because they always point out what DIVIDES them and not what will UNITE them!!!

To avoid the above, Kissinger invented the Politics of Step by Step in which he was able to identify little things that both Nations could finally AGREE on in order to, finally, come together!!!

For example: "Please indicate 3 days of the week in which you'd like to come together." Of course, 90% of the times they had at least one day in common and that will be a simple thing in which they finally……...AGREE without putting there any condition!!!

Then, "In what Country would you like the meeting to take place? Please indicate 3 countries."

If no Nation was in common, "Please indicate 3 more." And so on, until there will be one in common.

So, another agreement and not disagreement or conditions in order to come together.

Keep going this way, after dozens of agreements, the situation will become much more serene and manageable with much less black and white positions.
