An Incurable Disease: Collecting!!!

I got the disease when I was very little, probably 5 because I wasn't going to school yet.

Naturally, like everybody, I started with stamps from all over the world.

The Evolution of Madness

But then, the insanity got worse and I began collecting different things. Cigarette packages and matches boxes, sports cards of soccer players and little cars. Some I built myself from the model kits that we can buy.

Growing up, I inherited my father's stamp collection of Italian, San Marino and Vatican stamps. I reorganized them in a more modern way using correct volumes.

The Soccer Stamp Obsession

That lead to a more specific collection of stamps. I decided to start a world collection of all the stamps about... SOCCER!!!! Now I have an impressive collection of thousands of stamps from all the Countries in the World, organized in alphabetic order and dates using 10 big volumes!!!!

The beautiful thing about collecting is that, sooner or later, we heal from a disease and get a new one!!! Apart from my collection of books that drive me to the point of being unable to buy more of them for the end of space available, I started collecting guitars!!! I also built 2 of them. Movie Boxes: The Most Curious Collection

But now, I want to talk about the more curious of collections. I always liked little metal boxes and I noticed in movies many of them so, I decided to try to find the boxes that were in famous movies.

The Shawshank Redemption Box

I'm sure that you remember "Shawshank Redemption". Wow, what a movie!!! So, the scene in which Red, after being released, following the instructions of the protagonist, dug out the box containing a letter and some money to reach him in Mexico? Yes, I found it too!!!

The Aviator Soap Box

Another one is in "The Aviator" when the protagonist washes his hands using the same brand box soap that his mom used to wash him when he was a kid. Remember the soap box? Got it!!!

Blade Runner 2049 Box

One more. In the movie "Blade Runner 2049" there is this little box containing the sock of a little girl. This is the picture of the box that I found on Internet.

I looked for a clip, I checked hundreds but, I can't find it (yet!!!) the footage of the little box. By the way, I didn't buy the box because it costs too much so, just enjoy the picture!!!

The Diagnosis

I'm clearly... sick but, I hope I'm not the only one!!!!
