Only From Chaos Come Perfection

In the Dictionary, the definition of Chaos is: a state of total confusion with no order.

But, in my opinion, this is the secret of PERFECTION!!!

I try to explain why.

Long time ago, I wanted to create an original decoration on a wall and I decided to make it look as a carpet of dry leaves as it happens on the ground under the trees in a park.

So, I collected a bunch of leaves and brought them home. I glued them and started to position them on the wall. At the beginning it looked very realistic but, after a while, I noticed that there was a kind of pattern, a kind of repetition, even if I tried to put them very randomly. And the more I put them, the more the recognizable pattern was there. No way to make it look realistically casual, as it happens naturally while they fall from the branches.

I finally understood. To have them look realistic, the only way is to have them fall on the floor, take a picture, collect them, and try to recreate the same pattern on the wall while looking at the picture.

Basically………………..ridiculously IMPOSSIBLE!!!

There is no way to reproduce CHAOS as Mother Nature does……..spontaneously!!!

So, in my opinion, PERFECTION comes only from CHAOS.

Just look at a sequence of little waterfalls in a torrent between rocks that form small ponds, in an endless continuation of perfect equilibrium and balance among them.

Simply……….unrepeatable, no matter how you'll try artificially.

I often saw the work of Landscape Architects when they try to reproduce natural waterfalls in the gardens of big homes. Yes, they get closer, but it's nothing like what Mother Nature does.

So, there is a "magic" balance only if you start from scratch, as Mother Nature did millions of years ago. Little by little, the water found a natural way between the rocks, and the surrounding vegetation did the same, finding the perfect spot to live in harmony with the rocks and the other plants.

There is no way to recreate this, if not by starting from CHAOS, and letting ALL interact with the surrounding ALL, as happened to our world — spontaneously and naturally, without our interference — while the eons were passing………………….undisturbed and………….spontaneously.
