The Most Absurd Thing Ever: Global Commerce

Definition: Global commerce refers to the interconnected system of trade and economic exchange that spans across nations, facilitating the movement of goods, services, and capital on an international scale.

What absurdity!!!!

The Water Example

We have water in the USA and they have water in Europe so, why send bottled water across the ocean and sky, with a catastrophic economic and environmental cost, when everyone could drink the water that is already there????

Then apply the same principle to just... everything!!!!

Wines, clothes, shoes, sports equipment, cars, cheeses, any foods, fruits and whatever else that comes to mind.

To constantly move all these things across the planet, apart from the stupidity of doing this, it also kills the planet with an unstoppable pollution!!!!

The Italy Example

But even inside nations this thing is happening. An example about my country: Italy.

My country has 70% of the art and antiquity in the world!!! It's also very correctly considered the "Garden of Europe" with that long peninsula that dominates the Mediterranean.

So, if Politicians wanted votes, just create new museums that could host all the artifacts that are still stored in the basements of the existing museums for lack of space in them. Only that, apart from the great business of building new museums, would create thousands of new jobs for workers in the new facilities!!!

Then hotels and ports to host the boats of all Europe for people who like to cruise the Mediterranean. This also will create many jobs and also build more boats in the Italian shipyards that, by the way, are very well known and appreciated in the whole world!!!!

Globally, millions of new jobs!!!!!

Political Genius

So, many decades ago, just to get a few hundred more votes, politicians came out with this genial idea: let's create work in the south by opening a new branch of Alfa Romeo (owned by the State!!!!) and call it Alfa Sud!!!!

Also, for a few hundred more votes, let's create ports in the South in which the boats that carry containers for the north of Europe can drop them.

So, instead of having the boats go to Genoa or Venice (the closest ports to North Europe) let's have thousands of trucks that, with no reason (!!!!) cross the whole peninsula destroying the asphalt of our highways and polluting our country!!!! And, let's not talk about the blocking of the traffic with hundreds of daily trucks back and forth and the inevitable horrible car crashes!!!!

What great geniuses got elected to improve the Country!!!!

The Conclusion

Any nation can produce ANYTHING locally and there is no reason to send it back and forth across the planet!!! The number of the things produced would be absolutely the same but not absurdly transported to the other side of the world!!!!

And also, not produced by kids in underdeveloped countries for $1 a day pay!!!!!
