Two Great Friends That Helped Me Very Much

For the last few years, unfortunately, my health didn't permit me to do two things that I deeply love: travel and jogging long distances!!!

So, these two people, Harmen Hoek and Andrew Cross (AKA Desert Drifter in the videos), helped me very much by ideally bringing me with them, thanks to their videos on YouTube, through their fantastic walks in magnificent places.

What Makes Them Special

Andrew explored majestic canyons looking for ancient shelters of Native Americans, in terrifying locations in the middle of the walls of the canyons. Harmen walked in the most solitary and fascinating places in the world: American National Parks, Patagonia, Himalaya and so on!!!

And what makes them perfect for me is the fact that Harmen never, ever says a word, while Andrew just says a few to explain some very interesting particulars of locations, like a professor of archaeology. They know that the image already says anything that needs to be said.

Also, the exceptional quality of their footage and the superb editing make them unique, and they can be watched over and over with the joy of the first time!!!

Remembering Desert Drifter

Unfortunately, very sadly and suddenly, Andrew had a bad car accident and he didn't survive it. Life, often, is very cruel. He survived with no incidents, or just some little scratches, climbing impossible vertical walls and then ended his life in a car accident at the young age of 37!!!
